- Federal court orders FEMA to restore $200 million in stormwater protections to North Carolina – Dec 13, 2025: With the program reinstated, North Carolina will
again receive more than $200 million to protect the state’s infrastructure,

- Gov. Stein and DEQ announce $6 million to reduce flood risks in North Carolina – Oct 16,
2025: Governor Josh Stein announced $6
million in grants from DEQ’s Flood Resiliency Blueprint program to help reduce
